Commemorating the Ukrainian Famine

The following works were submitted by members of the Ukrainian Artists League of Colorado to commemorate the victims of the 1932 - 1933 Forced Famine in Ukraine.

Stalin instigated an artificial famine, in a year of record harvest, causing 7-10 million Ukrainians to die a slow agonizing death. The following works are dedicated to those victims...

A somber depiction of sadness within a tear on a face to show grief in regards to the Ukrainian Famine of 1932-1933. The medium was acrylic on canvas, photographed, scanned and manipulated using digital art tools to produce artwork.

A pencil drawing and photos of children found starving during the Ukrainian Famine 1932-1933. Drawing and photos were manipulated using digital art tools to produce artwork showing the barring of wheat/food in Ukraine from 1932-1933 that produced widespread hunger in Ukraine in Stalin.
