Vera Babiak is a first generation Ukrainian living in Boulder, Colorado. Her parents immigrated to the U.S. after World War II in the early 1950's. Through-out her upbringing, Vera was taught and told about Ukrainian culture, history, tradition etc and incorporated much of her heritage into her artwork, education, community service etc. She is a Fine Arts Advisor at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Currently she is working on a series of Ukrainian Easter Eggs for a digital art collage presentation.
